Maryam Awaisu

Maryam is a writer, storyteller and actor who lives with sickle cell anemia. Her writing has been nominated for two African literature prizes and her TV presenter training has taken her to Liberty TV, where she has hosted their radio show and news programme. Maryam has a good ear for accents and can also speak Arabic, Spanish and Hausa.
